Havas Hong Kong MD exits after three months to join DDB

Mitchell Tan has left Havas Worldwide Hong Kong as managing director after three months to join DDB as head of Tribal Worldwide Hong Kong and head of digital.Havas Worldwide Hong Kong announced Tan's hiring in August.At DDB, Tan will tasked to advance the digital sophistication of the work developed for clients of DDB Group Hong Kong. He marks the first major senior hire in the region since the promotion of David Tang to CEO of DDB Asia.Tan has worked in Hong Kong for the past 11 years and was previously digital head of Bates and managing director, Greater China at Doremus.He brings a new calibre of expertise to the Tribal Worldwide Hong Kong team, complementing the strengths of integrated creative directors Wilson Ang and Timothy Li.He has over 20 years of experience in digital integration, specifically portal, platform and UX expertise, as well as strategic planning and business operations, having worked with blue chip brands, including ExxonMobil, Shell, Pizza Hut, Philips, Heineken, HSBC and HP.Irene Tsui, general manager of DDB Group Hong Kong, said he will be a boost to its digital integration efforts."He has the depth in portal and platform development, as well as to offer solid business solutions to our clients.”Jeff Cheong, president of Tribal Worldwide Asia, added: “Mitchell has gone from web and apps to e-commerce, which will be an invaluable asset to DDB Group Hong Kong.
