Hang Seng Bank names Jordan Cheung as new CMO

Hang Seng Bank has appointed Jordan Cheung (pictured) as chief marketing officer effective 19 December 2022. He will also become a member of the bank’s executive committee.
Cheung will be reporting to Diana Cesar, executive director and chief executive of Hang Seng Bank. Within his new position, Cheung will oversee the bank's marketing function, brand strategy, product marketing, digital marketing and research.
Having worked in insurance, aviation, hospitality and retail, Cheung is a seasoned business leader in Hong Kong and other regional markets. Prior to joining the bank, he was vice president, CRM and performance marketing at yuu, Dairy Farm International. Back in 2020, he joined Regals Hotels International as vice president, group head of marketing, innovation and digital transformation, where he spearheaded all marketing functions on the group and individual hotel levels which involve overseeing a team of over 20 in the areas of branding, digital marketing, marketing communications, product marketing, CRM, sustainability, social media, as well as partnership and design.
Diana Cesar, executive director and chief executive of Hang Seng Bank, said: “I’m very pleased to welcome Cheung to the Hang Seng family. Back in August 2021, Hang Seng Bank appointed Diana Cesar as executive director and chief executive, succeeding Louisa Cheang. Cesar was group general manager and chief executive of HSBC Hong Kong.
“Working at HSBC for 22 years has given me the opportunity to be involved in most aspects of banking, and as chief executive, Hong Kong, HSBC, I have been able to work closely with customers, regulators, shareholders and staff. We have achieved a lot, even though the external environment has been complicated, largely because of shared objectives across the bank and a strong focus on meeting customer needs," Cesar said.
