
Hakuhodo DY Holdings bolsters leadership with new president

Hakuhodo has strengthened its leadership team with new senior hires, including Kenji Nagura being named representative director and president, Masayuki Mizushima transitioning to the role of chairman alongside his CEO remit and Hirotake Yajima as representative director and vice chairman of Hakuhodo DY Holdings.
The changes to the executive officers, including the representative directors, were passed at the meeting of Hakuhodo's board of directors held on 12 February, according to the release.
Having joined Hakuhodo in April 1991, Nagura started as the general manager of account service division 12 in April 2014. He was then promoted to corporate officer in 2018, and then to senior corporate officer in 2021. Most recently, in 2023, he took on the role of director and senior corporate officer of Hakuhodo.
As part of the appointments, Hakuhodo has named Masayuki Mizushima as representative director and president starting June 2025, succeeding Hirokazu Toda, who will retire at that time. Toda will take on the new role of senior advisor and director, as well as chairman of Hakuhodo Inc..
In addition to his roles as representative director and president, Mizushima will also serve as representative director, chairman, and CEO of Hakuhodo DY Holdings. Mizushima is currently serving as representative director, president and CEO; representative director, president and CEO of Hakuhodo DY Holdings; and director of Hakuhodo DY Media Partners.
In tandem, Hakuhodo has appointed Hirotake Yajima as representative director and vice chairman director and executive vice president of Hakuhodo DY Holdings. He is currently director; director and executive vice president of Hakuhodo DY Holdings; and representative director, president and CEO of Hakuhodo DY Media Partners.

The leadership restructuring comes after Hakuhodo's merger with DY Media Partners, which aims to offer enhanced full-funnel data-driven marketing planning and media response functions to clients, strengthening its media sales capability and ability to make proposals to media companies. The new entity, named Hakuhodo Inc., will open doors in Tokyo on 1 April. It consists of over 4,600 staff.
