Luxury brand Gucci has tapped South Korean boy group BTS’ member Kim Seok-jin, also known as Jin, as its latest global brand ambassador.
Jin was an Olympic torchbearer for South Korea at the Paris Olympics Games 2024 last month, and is the eldest member of the K-pop group.
The partnership comes as the brand believes Jin perfectly embodies Gucci’s values of individuality and authenticity, according to Gucci's Instagram.
Gucci’s creative director Sabato De Sarno said on his Instagram that he is very excited to welcome Jin as global brand ambassador. “His warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique. He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honoured to share this journey with him.”
The post has garnered over 19k likes, with many netizens saying Jin is the perfect ambassador for Gucci and some agreeing that his authenticity aligns with the brand, a check by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE saw on Instagram.
