GOJEK Singapore launches social media accounts with illustrated memes

GOJEK has launched social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram over the weekend, starting with postings of tongue-in-cheek illustrations. Its Facebook page and Instagram account has garnered 2,600 and 1,400 fans at the time of writing.The illustrations paint relatable scenarios such as working overtime, infringed personal space on public transport and hot weather to highlight reasons for commuters to hire a GOJEK. On Father’s Day, the ride-hailing platform also posted an illustration of a dad “taking a backseat” with children.In a statement to Marketing, a GOJEK spokesperson said the company will be publishing a series of “fun and educational” posts that users will find useful. They include videos, GIFs, memes, product updates and funky illustrations. “Here’s to us bringing joy to the streets – and now to social media too,” added the spokesperson.Last month, GOJEK Singapore recorded 10 million completed trips, after six months of operations. To thank Singapore driver-partners for their support and service, it launched a rewards programme called “Driver Milestones”. Drivers who have completed 1,000, 2,500 and 5,000 trips since GOJEK’s launch in Singapore will also be recognised with enhanced benefits and decals that mark their trip milestones.A spokesperson told Marketing that the ride-hailing company also has ongoing digital campaigns that are aimed at acquiring new drivers.
