giga!, Shopee, and DKSH eCommerce win big at #AsiaeCommerceAwards 2021

Giga! took home the coveted “eCommerce Brand of the Year” title at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s fourth annual Asia eCommerce Awards, beating out stiff competition from top contenders, including Bayer Indonesia, Unilever and XIXILI Intima.
Giga!’s successes on the night came down to its entries from the Best eCommerce Enablers and Best Use categories, such as Best eCommerce Customer Service, Best eCommerce Loyalty Programme, Best Use of AI, and Best Use of UI/UX Design. The brand swept the floor with three gold and two silver trophies, for its campaigns, GINO - giga's Fully Interactive AI Chatbot, #Ohmygiga Refer a Friend and #gigaSurprises to retain and reward existing customers and giga! Best Mobile Service in an App. Adding to giga!'s amazing feat, the team also took home silver for eCommerce Team of the Year.

Coming in a very close second was a tie between Bayer Indonesia and Unilever, winning two gold, two silver and two bronze trophies, while the latter won three gold and two bronze trophies.
Two other overall titles were awarded on the night to recognise the eCommerce Agency of the Year and eCommerce Marketplace/eRetailer of the Year.
In a close race for eCommerce Agency of the Year, DKSH eCommerce came out on top by entering a range of strong campaigns for clients including Emborg, foodpanda, MEDINOVA, LaCorium and Unilever Asia. In total, its entries amassed four gold, six silver and one bronze awards. Other agencies that stood out this year included Entropia -- part of Accenture Interactive and Maxis eCommerce and Retail, amongst others.
The eCommerce Marketplace/eRetailer of the Year title went to Shopee, defeating top contenders such as A.S. WATSON, Drinkies Malaysia, foodpanda, HappyFresh, and more. In the end, Shopee impressed the judges by winning two golds and two silvers across categories, Best eCommerce Campaign categories, B2B, B2C and Content Marketing and Best Integrated eCommerce Campaign. The company also took home one Bronze trophy under the category eCommerce Team of the Year.
The winners were decided by a 30 strong judging panel comprised of senior digital eCommerce and marketing professionals from renowned brands across the region. The winners of the Asia eCommerce Awards were announced virtually on 3 March 2022.
