Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo is embarking on an epic road trip adventure through Western Australia with his lifelong best friend, Blake Mills, in the second iteration of Tourism Western Australia (Tourism WA) "Drive the Dream" campaign in tandem with the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix which took place over the weekend.
Western Australia is a top draw for travelers, with Singaporeans ranked as the second largest group of international travelers to the region in 2024. At the same time, Western Australia ranks as the third most popular Australian destination for Singaporeans.
The campaign celebrates the dreamlike landscapes and natural wonders of Western Australia and invites Singaporeans to leave the everyday behind and hit the open road in a short film featuring Ricciardo and Mills.

In the film, Ricciardo and Mills are seen road tripping through the Margaret River Region and along South West Nature and more.
They are also seen mountain biking, sipping wine at vineyards, indulging in fresh local produce and go on a guided tour of the Cape to Cape track where they witness the dreamy Indian Ocean sunset and catch some waves at a surf lesson at Gas Bay.
To end off the trip, the best friends immerse themselves in the rich history of Aboriginal culture through a guided tour of Ngligi Cave before recharging for their next adventure with a luxurious stay at Injidup Spa Retreat.
This campaign comes in time for the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix which happened from 20 to 22 September.
That said, "Drive the Dream" is not the only campaign to tap into sport and its drivers. Earlier last week, global supply chain solutions DP World and the McLaren Formula 1 team unveiled an electrifying new film featuring McLaren Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
The film, titled "Every second counts", showcases the dynamic partnership that supports McLaren's performance on and off track. It also showcases the partnership's dedication to excellence through meticulous preparation and pushing the boundaries of elite performance.
The film featured iconic spots in Singapore, including the Merlion, Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Flyer, as well as parts of the racetrack. It also featured snippets of DP World's employees and how drivers Norris and Piastri prepare for the race.
