Wipro Unza has appointed Saki Goh (pictured) as GM – marketing to oversee the start-to-end marketing function, including the development and implementation of brand strategies, as well as new and existing products. She replaces Choi Yen Pan and will report to CEO Sriram Krishnamurthy. Goh was previously the marketing director at GCH Retail Malaysia. Wipro Unza’s spokesperson declined to comment on A+M’s queries regarding Choi’s next move.Goh told A+M in an exclusive statement that she was inspired by the company as it exhibited a “strong entrepreneur spirit”. “If you can imagine or articulate a new product vision, you have the freedom of creativity to realise the product innovation locally,” Goh said. She added that employer branding is a focus moving forward for Wipro Unza, and the company has already been recognised in the HR industry. The other interesting part of the role in Malaysia, Goh said, is that the marketing team is not only brand builders, but also in charge of new product development, something which she describes as “a true blue start-to-end marketer”.For 2019, Goh hopes to aid Wipro Unza in remaining at the forefront of product innovation, piquing consumers’ imagination by delivering better value than conventional products and by addressing emerging trends. Goh previously worked at L’Oreal, Johnson & Johnson and Unilever Malaysia. She has over 15 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
