Ford Ranger curates 15 adventures for Malaysians to showcase truck's versatility

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford in Malaysia, is allowing consumers to discover the versatility of the Ranger Life for themselves with a new brand experiential programme known as "Ford Ranger Getaways". The programme comprises a series of handpicked local adventures such as a fruit farm tour, Kedah's mountain ranges, and a prehistoric rainforest walk in Penang. The programme also aims to help boost domestic tourism, and according to SDAC, these businesses have been selected for their adventures that align with the Ranger Life core values.

From fun city outings and outdoor or off-road excursions to foodie trails and even flying a plane through Kuala Lumpur City Centre, these 15 getaways were all curated to showcase the multiformity of the Ford Ranger lifestyle. At the same time, a one-of-a-kind on and off-road experience within the vicinity of Sepang will also be held on 26 February for performance-certified Ranger Raptor owners and on 27 February for all other Ranger owners. The activities will be refreshed from time to time to ensure the outings are kept interesting. 

The new brand experience platform was crafted based on customer feedback, which underlined their desire for wanting to network with like-minded individuals, expanding their lifestyle to enhance work-life balance and spending more quality time with family and friends.

Turse Zuhair, MD of SDAC, explained that in line with the five guiding principles under its new "Live the Ranger Life" brand essence, Ford Ranger Getaways aims to offer experiences that push the boundaries of what people perceive a pickup truck to be. "We also believe that this attracts new customers to our Ford Ranger brand," Turse said. A+M has reached out to SDAC for additional information on the getaways.

"Live the Ranger Life" was unveiled last October to celebrate the Ranger's evolution into a modern lifestyle truck. The new brand essence encapsulates the values and persona of the Ranger, which has transformed over the years beyond being just a truck for work to one that enables every need and lifestyle choice of a diverse range of customers.

Its five core tenets are: “We Make Our Own Fun” (fun in driving and in living), “Up and Over” (tackling challenges), “Bring Others Along the Journey” (family and friends), “Can’t Help but Help” (assistance to others) and “Carve Our Own Path” (being bold and fearless in life).
