Through the collaboration, foodpanda aims to celebrate and reward its customers while enhancing their experience with the brand. By integrating local artistry into the food delivery experience, foodpanda hopes to create a deeper connection with customers and showcase its appreciation for their continued support, added foodpanda Malaysia when A+M reached out.

This partnership also reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting local talents and celebrating Malaysian culture, thus fostering a sense of community, it added.

"Collaborating with a local artist such as Yello_Banana helps foodpanda reinforce its presence as a brand that values community engagement and local culture. By showcasing homegrown talent, foodpanda strengthens its relationship with its customers, positioning itself as a brand that not only provides essential services but also actively contributes to the cultural and creative landscape. This local connection can enhance brand loyalty and resonate with customers who appreciate initiatives that support the local arts," said foodpanda Malaysia in a statement.

Meanwhile, Yello_Banana was selected for this collaboration due to her vibrant and playful artistic style, which aligns with foodpanda's brand, it added.

As a rising local artist, her ability to creatively reimagine everyday scenes, such as food delivery, resonated with foodpanda's aim to celebrate Malaysia’s rich heritage through local artistry. Her work is not only imaginative but also brings a fresh and relatable narrative, making her a perfect fit for this quirky merchandise collection, said foodpanda Malaysia.

To participate in the giveaway, customers can earn entries by placing orders with foodpanda. For food orders with a minimum value of RM25, three orders will earn one entry, with multiple entries possible.

Similarly, for grocery or shop orders with a minimum value of RM50, two orders will earn one entry, also allowing for multiple entries.

The prizes include limited edition merchandise and RM100 gift cards, with 300 grand prizes available in total, 200 for food order entries and 100 for grocery and shops order entries.

“I am excited to partner with foodpanda, an essential service during busy times. The tote bag design captures the unseen world inside a rider’s bag, celebrating the playful side of food delivery. I hope this collaboration will make people smile and appreciate the little things in life," said Yello_Banana.

foodpanda Malaysia is not the only brand to have tapped onto local artists in its recent collaborations.

Earlier in May this year, athletic footwear and apparel brand Nike collaborated with Malaysian designer Vanissa Foo, better known as @humana_art or Humana on Instagram, to release a limited-edition 'Nike By You' collection that pays homage to Malaysian heritage.

The limited-edition collection, titled "Nike By You x Humana" features Foo's fictional character Humana and highlights the concept of modernity meeting tradition.

The collaboration includes items such as t-shirts and tote bags that can be customised with Humana’s maximalist pop art style prints that sports Nike’s logo and apparel.
