FCB SHOUT boosts creative suite with slew of promotions and new hires

Malaysian creative agency FCB SHOUT has boosted its creative panel with new appointments. Headlining the creative promotions are Jonathan Chan, James Voon and Suah Boon Chuan who have all been elevated from their roles as associate creative directors to creative directors. Their new responsibilities now include overseeing crucial client relationships and spearheading new business initiatives.

Chuan was recently recognised as art director of the Year at the 2023 A+M Agency of the Year Awards, an award which was previously held by Voon. Anndrea Lye and Tan Lai Kuen have also been elevated to the positions of senior copywriter and senior designer respectively. Complementing these internal advancements, FCB SHOUT has also invested in new talents with the appointments of Choong Eu Jin and Raphael Castellano as senior copywriters.

For brand management, FCB SHOUT has promoted Melanie Mustapha to brand director. Mustapha has played a pivotal role in FCB SHOUT’s success, and her leadership aims to further enhance the agency's brand management. capabilities. The agency also welcomed back Mandy Chock as a creative strategist. Chock’s second stint in the agency will reinforce the agency's commitment to bringing innovative strategies to life through an integrated communications planning framework. She will collaborate closely with the brand management team to ensure the delivery of effective solutions for FCB SHOUT’s clients.

The agency’s most recent wins include being appointed by MEASATGlobal as its creative agency on record for CONNECTme, the company’s first consumer brand. The campaign, titled "CONNECTme to a Bigger World", was launched with a brand film bringing to life a letter from MEASAT itself. The film saw Malaysians from all walks of life exploring this letter and concluded with everyone coming together to form a coordinated image of Malaysia.
Done in conjunction with Malaysia Day, the agency aimed to convey MEASAT’s goal of paving the way for a brighter future that will connect Malaysians and bridge the digital gap in regions lacking 4G, 5G, or fibre technology coverage. It also aims to visually represent its audience in miniature form, juxtaposed against super-sized letters, according to the agency.
