The SHOUT Group, a Malaysian advertising holding company, housing creative agency, FCB SHOUT has made several promotions, starting with Syahriza Badron (pictured left) who has been promoted to managing director. Meanwhile, Wang Ie Tjer (pictured center) will now take on the role of executive creative director, and Jamie Tan (pictured right) is being promoted to general manager.

Syahriza, previously general manager, will now lead FCB SHOUT's business growth. With over a decade at the agency, she has been involved in over 50 successful new business pitches. Her industry recognition includes being named A+M’s account person of the year in 2021 and agency leader of the year in 2023. Syahriza is the embodiment of FCB SHOUT’s ‘No Plan B’ culture and is a frequent contributor to various marketing publications, providing strong views on cultural and digital marketing, according to a statement by the agency.

In tandem, Wang Ie Tjer, known as Tjer, assumes the role of executive creative director. With six years at FCB SHOUT, Tjer played a significant role in the agency's journey to winning over 300 marketing and advertising awards. Prior to joining FCB SHOUT, Tjer was the creative group head at ADK Malaysia, as well as creative group head at 180 Degrees Brandcom. He started his career as an English copywriter at Spade Communications in 2006, according to his LinkedIn.

“When we bought the agency back in 2018, we had already set in motion our vision to create a sustainable, highly regarded creative agency that would serve as the right partner for our ambitious clients, and we knew that could only be realised by having the right leaders on board," said Shaun Tay and Ong Shi Ping, co-owners of The SHOUT Group.

"We wanted people with a point of view and the gumption to materialise our lofty goals. Syahriza, Tjer and Tan represent what we stand for, and to have been fortunate enough to help chart their growth over the years has been a true joy and one that we personally feel is our crowning achievement," they added.

These promotions come after the agency hired picked a new creative head in September this year. The agency picked Chung Ru Zen as its new creative group head. Having previously worked in Grab Malaysia, VMLY&R Commerce, Leo Burnett and Ensemble Worldwide, Ru Zen’s sterling track record in producing not only great campaigns, but also strategically sound work that have delivered real, measurable results for some of the biggest brands in Malaysia and beyond.
