EPF hunts for head of strategic comms and stakeholder management

The Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) is searching for a head of strategic communications and stakeholder management. Candidates are required to have at least 10 years of job experience in public relations, corporate communication or mass communications. He or she should also have at least three years of managerial experience. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in either communications, public relations, corporate communication or mass communications, the LinkedIn job post said.
The individual will be responsible for fostering a strong organisational culture with employees, giving them a sense of purpose. He or she will also be responsible for providing assessment, counsel, and management of issues and crises, with the aim of preserving organisational reputation. In addition, this individual would be instrumental in developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies to drive EPF's strategic priorities.
On the media relations front, the individual is expected to lead and oversee the strategic planning and implementation of all media activities. This includes ensuring the quality of media statements responses to media queries, organising media interviews and media briefings, and analysis of media monitoring. Aside from media relations, the individual is also in charge of the stakeholder and government relations. He or she will be looking at the development and implementation of external stakeholder relation plans to ensure positive external stakeholder relationships and strategies with the government, parliament, related unions, industry and activist stakeholders, the public, and the media.
Whereas on the internal engagement front, the individual is required to ensure the streamlining of corporate messaging that is tailored to internal stakeholders through effective content and channel management. He or she is also required to ensure effective coordination and collaboration with all relevant programmes and activities to promote employee engagement. In addition, the individual will be responsible for the implementation of internal marketing communication campaigns covering products, services, or initiatives, aimed at increasing greater employee engagement and awareness.
Lastly, on the content development and editorial front, the individual will oversee the development and implementation of an integrated content strategy. This strategy will streamline and tailor corporate messages accordingly. This includes refining core messages and ensuring the quality of write-ups. The individual will also oversee the successful publication, delivery and quality of the EFP annual report.
