ELLE Malaysia gets new licensing partner

Lagardère Group has appointed Heart Media Group as the new licensing partner for ELLE Malaysia.

The move aims to strengthen the position of ELLE as one of the largest international women's fashion, luxury and lifestyle media brands in Southeast Asia. 

“This venture with Heart Media Group, a solid and trustworthy partner, will enable us to push further the development of ELLE as a 360° brand in Malaysia. I am confident that ELLE’s universal values, its unique point of view on fashion, beauty, culture, society, and lifestyle, together with its highest standards of journalism, will continue to inspire women in Malaysia and resonate with them," said ELLE international licenses CEO François Coruzzi.

“We are excited to bring back ELLE in Malaysia. The title is a strong addition to our portfolio, enabling us to expand Heart Media’s offerings and meet the market demand for international and high-quality brands aimed specifically at women,” said Olivier Burlot, CEO of Heart Media Group. 

“We will create content across print and digital and, by leveraging our extensive database of our audiences in Malaysia, offer plenty of unique and engaging event opportunities for our brand partners.”

ELLE Malaysia is led by a Bahasa Melayu speaking team. It will further enrich the consumer experience with a host of daily-updated multimedia channels on fashion, jewellery and watches, beauty, culture, celebrities, features, travel, decoration and food. 

In addition, ELLE Malaysia's online presence will share the signature brand essence and will be powered by a multi-talented editorial team that will produce daily news, reviews, tips, how-to guides and interviews. It will be done through contemporary language, videos, photos, infographics and images. 

“ELLE Malaysia is for intelligent women who love to be stylish in every aspect of their life while being an actor of the society” added Burlot.

“We are focused on further scaling a multi-channel brand and have attracted top talent from across the industry to help us usher in the newest chapter of this iconic brand.”

The first issue of ELLE Malaysia to be launched under Heart Media will be the September 2024 issue.

This news follows ELLE Singapore's recent appointment of Heart Media Group as its new licensing partner in November 2023. 

The move aimed to further strengthen the position of ELLE as one of the largest international women’s fashion, luxury and lifestyle media brands in Singapore.

With the partnership, ELLE Singapore will further enrich the consumer experience with a host of daily-updated multimedia channels on fashion, jewellery and watches, beauty, culture, celebrities, features, travel, décor and food.
