Domino's MY hunts for 'results-driven innovative' VP of marketing

Domino's Pizza Malaysia is looking for a VP of marketing to oversee aspects including brand leadership, analytics and insights, and crisis management, reporting to group CMO Linda Hassan who oversees the company's Malaysia and Singapore operations.

The individual is required to define and communicate a brand vision that is compelling, differentiated, motivating and shapes the company culture and activities. He or she also needs to ensure that the external brand communication is aligned with customer experience and internal culture, and that customers actually experience the brand promise.

Concurrently, the individual will continuously develop a team to cover critical roles such as media planning, analytics, creative, local store marketing, PR, CSR and product innovation. According to the job description on LinkedIn, the candidate is also required to build an integrated ecosystem of internal team and systems, combined with third party technology platforms and creative partners, while staying abreast of industry developments.

Analytics and insights are also part of the job scope, which will see the individual measuring all activities using data, linking KPIs as close as possible to the customer lifetime value approach. He or she will also need to work with internal digital and social teams, agencies, and its IT team to ensure always-on and adhoc social tracking is conducted on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate should have at least eight years of working experience in a related field, and has experience in advising product teams about potential markets, desirable product features, and measuring outreach and product sales. He or she will also need to be "an extreme believer of data" and be familiar and skilled with the tools of trade in marketing including managing PR and communication consulting firms and contractors.

"I am looking for a candidate with the right technical and leadership skills to lead a business with 242 stores and growing. He or she also has to be a very results-driven individual who is able to drive the business KPI with a good understanding of all aspects of marketing, from branding to digital to CRM," Linda told A+M. She added that the individual also needs to have an innovative mindset to bring its products and services to the next level.

"Most importantly, the individual must be senior enough to lead various team leads on subject matter experts and manage various stakeholders. Domino's is a super fast-paced environment, hence a high commitment to the business is an expectation," Linda explained.

Last year, the company launched its Pandu Ambil takeaway service that allows consumers to drive to the nearest store to pick up their pizzas after ordering online. According to Domino's, the service eliminates the need for customers to park as they can drive to a designated area at the store's entrance to collect their orders.
