Creative, marketing and digital recruitment agency, DMCG Global, has announced the opening of a new Singapore office with the addition of Singapore-based recruitment partners, Mariana Barancean and U-Lynn Lee, joining Ben Roberts as non-executive director, APAC.
After six years of helming business development roles in media buying and mobile user acquisition agencies, The Trade Desk and Art of Click, Barancean’s focus will be on roles within AdTech and MarTech. Lee, on the other hand, will focus on public relations, communications and social media – a natural progression following her nine-year tenure at global creative and advertising agency, Ogilvy.

The Singapore team boasts 25 years of combined industry experience across various specialist and management roles and will apply deep sector knowledge and market intelligence to connect agencies and brands with the right talent, it said in a statement. The agency is headquartered in London and services clients across 15 territories including Amsterdam, Berlin, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast.
“We are proud to have our new team of experienced recruitment partners to grow our offering in Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian region," said Allen Smith, founder and chief innovation officer, APAC. "After meeting with Barancean and Lee, I knew immediately that they would be a great fit for our team. They bring with them deep industry expertise and a genuine desire to champion the careers of anyone seeking new challenges or opportunities.”
Roberts continues to play a pivotal role in advising the teams in APAC while covering the full spectrum of recruitment needs from entry-level to C-Suite and partnering with clients through subscription-based services, the company said.

DMCG Global joins a growing number of international agencies who have been working to expand their footprints into the thriving hub that is Singapore over the years. Earlier this year, communications consultancy Ruder Finn Thunder said that it is expanding its operations in Southeast Asia and will be opening a new office in Singapore. In tandem with this, the firm has appointed Phoebe Shen as deputy general manager of RF Thunder Singapore. Shen will be reporting to Ruder Finn’s Asia Pacific CEO, Elan Shou.
“Southeast Asia is a key market for us, and we are excited to have a stronger presence in the region to deliver innovative marketing solutions to our clients,” said Shou in a press release. “I am pleased to welcome Shen to the Ruder Finn Asia team. With her extensive experience in integrated communications, she will be a great addition to the team and play a crucial role in driving consumer engagement and our clients’ success in Southeast Asia.”
RF Thunder, which provides a wide range of integrated communications services, counts brands such as Moët Hennessy Diageo, Estée Lauder, Chaumet, Ralph Lauren, Four Seasons and Clarins as its key clients and Shen will be helping these clients navigate the Southeast Asian market in her role.
