Dentsu has established a new “Greater North” cluster, bringing together mainland China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan into one management structure. It has also appointed its Taiwan CEO Jennifer Tang (pictured middle) to spearhead the cluster as CEO, Greater North.
Tang has been the CEO of Dentsu Taiwan since April 2017 and was responsible for transforming Taiwan's business into a high-performance business built on a culture of client-centricity, teaming and growth mindset. Tang specialises in integration, innovation, data and technology.
Tang will be joined by four leaders who will maintain their leadership roles in their respective markets while working collaboratively. This includes Joshua Wong (pictured second left), CFO, Greater North; Chun Yin Mak (pictured second right), CEO, China; Simone Tam (pictured right), CEO, Greater Bay Area; and Donna Kim (pictured left), CEO, Korea.
Wong is an innovative and strategic leader and brings a critical commercial lens to investments and operations. According to the release, he is a long-time partner to Tang and supported Dentsu Taiwan’s transformation journey.
Meanwhile, Mak's 25-year career has featured senior leadership roles in business transformation and technology consulting, integration and outsourcing services across North America, APAC and Greater China. He specialises in value delivery, technology, data and ecosystem landscape. Mak will continue to be a member of the Dentsu APAC executive committee.
On the other hand, Tam has 30 years of experience in creative agencies and has been with the Dentsu group for eight years, overseeing both Dentsu Creative and Dentsu Hong Kong as CEO since 2021. She has 30 years of experience in creative agencies. Tam is being elevated to oversee a geo-centric business unit comprising the hyper-growth territories of Hong Kong, the Guangdong Province and Macao as CEO, Greater Bay Area.
With over 30 years of experience in building domestic enterprises for large global marcomms businesses, Kim's deep level of industry knowledge and thorough understanding of building brands in and out of Korea aims to bring a strong media perspective to the fore.
