Dentsu Creative MY gets musical with its first foray into entertainment

Dentsu Creative has forayed into entertainment with the launch of its music video production called ‘Platform Heels’ by the band, The Peachskins.

This step marks a milestone for the company as it expands its portfolio of services to meet the changing needs of the market. This is especially significant since the entertainment industry has grown exponentially in the recent years with the rise of digital platforms and the increasing popularity of streaming services.

In a statement to the press, Dentsu Creative pointed out its recognition of the potential in the market and consequently made the decision to expand its business to tap into the growing creative industry.

CEO of Dentsu Creative, Kunal Roy said that this project is special because the team is using its natural creative and strategic capabilities to brand Malaysia’s local musicians.

“It’s doubly special because we’re debuting the initiative by launching our very own DC talent, Rafique, who is the frontman & lead singer of The Peachskins. Music is just the beginning of our journey, soon we’ll be launching other sectors of Entertainment, so watch this space,” he added.

Rafique Ramleh, the Peachskins’ frontman said that the fact that a creative giant like Dentsu Creative is venturing into music and giving young artists a chance is ‘unimaginable’. “Having the ability to be on the set and getting to shoot this music video that we’ve been fantasizing about was both an experience and an education,” he added.

The statement to the press went to mention that Dentsu Creative entertainment is looking towards a successful entry into the entertainment industry. Dentsu Creative also plans on leveraging its current client base and network connection to further promote its new venture and expand its reach in the entertainment industry.

Dentsu Creative was officially formed in June of 2022, uniting 9,000 employees with its team of 37,000 Media and CXM experts working across the businesses globally. Dentsu Creative unites creative agencies DentsuMB, DentsuLHS and Isobar. Kunal Roy leads Dentsu Creative as CEO for creative brands, alongside Fred Levron who is dentsu international’s global CEO. Meanwhile, Andrew Low is Denstu Creative's group chief creative officer in Malaysia.
