Dentsu International Hong Kong has appointed Anna Chan as media CEO, effective from 1 June.

In her new position, Chan will report to dentsu International Hong Kong CEO Simone Tam, and oversee the full suite of dentsu’s media business including its data consulting and trading units. She will be responsible for accelerating the network’s transformation agenda by tapping into high growth areas such as data, brand commerce and performance marketing, developing an integrated portfolio of solutions and capabilities.

Chan will be joining from PHD Hong Kong as she holds the position of managing partner currently, leading the HSBC account for APAC. Prior to this position, she was general manager, AdOps at dentsu APAC; and regional managing director at dentsu’s programmatic arm Amnet, where she played a pivotal role in setting up the network’s programmatic operations in key markets including Hong Kong, India, Taiwan and Southeast Asia.

"It is a great honour to return to dentsu and lead the media team at such an exciting time. I look forward to working with the team to ensure that as a network we continue to invest ahead of the curve to add value to our clients’ business, and to provide the most effective business solutions that are insightful, impactful and innovative,” said Chan.

Tam also commented, "She is one of the most experienced digital pioneers who truly understands how media has evolved with the rise of data and adtech. This is hugely complementary to our growth plans. She shares our business ambition and understands our culture. I am confident she will lead our media line to unlock new growth for clients.”
