1. Following last year's Huat perfume, DBS Bank makes a move into home fragrance this CNY

Following its 'huat' money-scented perfume, Asian bank DBS went above-and-beyond for this year's CNY with its newest home scent 'Abundance'. The limited-edition scent is reminiscent of mandarin oranges, a well-known symbol of prosperity during the festive period.

Created in collaboration with creative agency The Secret Little Agency, who worked closely with perfume laboratory Oo La Lab to develop the scent from scratch, the refreshing yet warm fragrance aims to encapsulate festive blessings, mirroring the essence of Lunar new year traditions of sharing good fortune and joy with loved ones.

3. Sejauh Mata Memandang celebrates CNY with playful snakes and ladders scarf

Indonesia's fashion label, Sejauh Mata Memandang, launched an inventive and playful scarf to commemorate the Year of the Wood Snake. The "ular tangga" (snakes and ladders) scarf combines style and fun, offering not just a chic accessory but also an interactive twist, featuring the beloved classic game of snakes and ladders. Crafted using hand-screen printing techniques, the design draws inspiration from the Ramayana, blended with the distinct Kamasan Balinese painting style.

The scarf also comes with wooden dice and four game pieces, which are made from upcycled clothing buttons collected through the brand's "Waste to Wardrobe" recycling initiative, in collaboration with Ecotouch. This project underscores Sejauh Mata Memandang's commitment to reducing textile waste and promoting circular fashion.
