Deliveroo's new campaign showcases its dedication to delivering food in high quality

Deliveroo has launched a new brand campaign to showcase how the brand cooperates with its couriers and partners to uphold its dedication to delivering food in high quality.

Also known as “Deliverule”, the campaign has featured local actors Anthony Wong (黃秋生), Jan Lamb (林海峰), Patrick Tsang (泰山) and Michello Lo (盧覓雪), whose personalities are known for outspoken and having high standards, according to the release.

Within the campaign ad, the four were featured as co-workers at a local restaurant. Lamb as the waiter was urging Wong, the chef, to cook faster. However, Wong insisted that the cooking method for takeaway food is different from that of dine-in food. Lamb then carefully covered the food with a lid and handed it to Tsang for delivery. Tsang, who was featured as a courier then delivered the food to Lo, who was featured as the customer. Lo appreciated that the food was still hot and tasty.  Deliveroo told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that the campaign will run across TV, OTV, digital and OOH.

In order to make it sound more realistic, Tsang and the filming team went to Kyoto, Japan to film some of the shots for the campaign and experience the delivery of food with a stabiliser on a motorcycle, experiencing the professionalism of Japanese delivery.

Back in April, Deliveroo unveiled a new goal to donate over 80,000 meals to residents facing food insecurity across Hong Kong in the next 12 months, as part of its global Full Life campaign to fight hunger. The new goal buildt on Deliveroo’s partnership with local NGO Feeding Hong Kong which had delivered over 500,000 meals across Hong Kong and raised more than HK$2.7 million since 2020 via Deliveroo’s in-app donation feature.
