Deliveroo Hong Kong has partnered with virtual insurer Bowtie to offer special medical benefits to its riders and their families.

Supported by Bowtie, the programme consists of different levels of medical coverage, costing as much as HK$0 to HK$49 per month. The riders and their families can enjoy consultations and Chinese medicine practitioners visiting for things such as medicine, acupuncture, and bone setting.

“Having spoken to our riders and listened to their feedback, we know healthcare matters to them and so it matters to us,” said Brian Lo, general manager of Deliveroo Hong Kong.

“We knew it was the right time for us to further our efforts in helping our riders to access more health benefits. Bowtie will offer comprehensive and unique benefits packages that will keep our riders and their beloved ones healthy and protected.”

Apart from the latest partnership with Bowtie, currently all Deliveroo riders are enjoying a free insurance package covering accident and injury. In April, Deliveroo Hong Kong also introduced the Rider Academy to offer more than 700 free online courses for riders and their families, as well as free COVID-19 testing through “Project Screen by Circle” developed by Hong Kong-based start-up Prenetics.
