Decathlon HK names new head of brand and marketing

Decathlon Hong Kong has promoted its senior digital marketing manager Matthew Li (pictured) to its new head of brand and marketing, effective from 1 June. He succeeds Matthew Lam, who stepped down from the role recently.
Within his new role, Li will report to Hugo Jehlen, CEO of Decathlon Hong Kong. As part of the management team of Decathlon Hong Kong, Li will lead, manage, and drive the strategic direction of the marketing and creative team to achieve business growth and operational excellence.
This includes formulating holistic and integrated marketing strategies to drive demand, raise brand awareness, acquire new customers, and deepen relationships with existing sport users in Hong Kong.
Li joined Decathlon HK last year as digital marketing manager and was promoted to senior digital marketing manager after a year. Prior to Decathlon, he was the assistant manager of omnichannel strategy and innovation of Shiseido, according to his LinkedIn.

Most recently, Matthew Lam stepped down from the role of brand and marketing head of Decathlon Hong Kong after three years.
According to his LinkedIn post, Lam said there are so many successful milestones and great memories to talk about, as he closed a chapter after three years with the company including the challenging pandemic times.
