3 colours to match your zodiac this Year of the Tiger

As part of its Chinese New Year content marketing push, Nippon Paint Singapore has collaborated with Way Fengshui’s experts - Tan Khoon Yong, Goh Guan Leong and Mark Tan - to provide zodiac readings and insights for 2022. The readings come with a list of auspicious colours for each zodiac sign, and Nippon Paint has created a vision board featuring specially curated shades reflecting each zodiac sign's lucky colours.

Nippon Paint Singapore also unveiled its colour for the year 2022 - vintage vase. According to a statement by Nippon Paint Singapore, vintage vase is the colour of terracotta and clay, autumn leaves, rosy sunsets and cosy evenings. "The timeless yet trending colour exudes a nostalgic charm. It suits an eclectic theme that layers old upon new, mixing family heirlooms with thrift shop finds, and mid-century modern classics," it added.

In response to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Shelly Chan, marketing manager of Nippon Paint, said that vintage vase was chosen for its calming and therapeutic tones which the company believes complements what the world needs during this period. "The timeless yet trending colour mixes nostalgia of the old days with modern style, and suits nature-inspired themes of pastel green, pink and amber," she added.

Year of the Rooster

Lucky colours: red and orange
