Coca-Cola launches new webapp and smart coolers to cater to the tech-savvy

Coca-Cola Singapore is giving the refreshment experience a refresh with the launch of its Coke&GO webapp pilot in Singapore that aims to meet the changing needs and expectations of the tech-savvy consumer.

Through the webapp which is paired to a touch-free smart cooler, consumers can access a variety of Coca-Cola beverages and earn rewards when they make their payment on the app.

“The twin engines of retail innovation and digitally savvy consumers are driving the food and beverage landscape,” said Sam Way, head of offline-to-online, Coca-Cola ASEAN and South Pacific.

“As technology advances and options expand, consumers’ expectations are ever-increasing. Driven by convenience and speed, consumers are always looking to be delighted, especially in the FMCG space,” he continued.

The Coke&GO webapp is currently paired with more than 15 smart coolers at select tertiary institutions for students and faculty members with 20 more smart coolers expected to be released islandwide over the next few months, according to a statement by the brand.

“We are excited to debut our latest refreshment revolution, the Coke&GO webapp paired with touch-free smart coolers, designed to unlock the ultimate self-serve beverage experience,” said Khoo Ewe Leong, vice president, commercial, Coca-Cola Beverages Singapore.

“Driven by our commitment to provide innovative solutions that enhance consumers’ daily lives, we invite our consumers to embrace the future today with our Coke&GO webapp and touch-free smart coolers,” he also added.

As Coca-Cola drives engagement with their Singapore consumers, it also recently appointed influencer, actor and model Win Metawin as its first ASEAN brand ambassador for its "A Recipe for Magic" campaign to celebrate the human connections made when food is shared around a table.

Based in Thailand and a self-professed foodie, Metawin will collaborate with the beverage brand to unveil his own "Recipe for Magic" through a series of activities that include film, media engagements, social media activations and interactions.
