Luxury fashion brand Coach has launched its circular craft sub-brand Coachtopia in Singapore at the Coach Play Singapore Shophouse as it highlights its efforts to minimise its use of raw materials.

The collection includes bags and accessories such as the Coachtopia Loop Quilted Tote, Ergo Bag and Wavy Dinky that are made with recycled PET plastic and leftover scraps of leather from the production of Coach’s bag patterns.

In a statement on its website, Coach explained that Coachtopia aims to use recycled, repurposed or renewable materials in accordance with its made circular design philosophy where waste is reimagined as raw material.

“We have developed these principles to help us advance more quickly towards a circular ecosystem in which we’re working to eliminate both new material creation and waste by creating products from what already exists and designing them to be reused and remade over multiple lives,” continued the statement.

Visitors to the Coach Play Shophouse will also have the chance to experience an interactive art installation called the Coachtopia Cloud Canvas where their movements will be captured and turned into cloud-like art.

To further immerse visitors in the whimsical branding of Coachtopia, the in-house cafe run by local cafe Brawn & Brains has launched a cloud-themed dessert menu that features a cloud gelatine cake and blue pea milk topped with a cotton candy cloud.

As part of the launch, Coach will also be hosting a sustainable coaster handcrafting workshop with local business Brambe.

Recently, Coach has launched a new air travel-themed boutique called Coach Airways at Freeport A'Famosa Outlet in Malacca.

Located in an actual airplane, the themed boutique space is decked out in Coach’s vintage iconography with a cockpit and aircraft seats along with racks of their apparel and bags. Customers have to take an air bridge to enter the boutique and will be given an entry pass that resembles a plane ticket upon entry.
