The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), has renewed its contract with social media agency Hashtag Interactive for another year with the option to renew for one more year. This comes after a selection process involving 24 agencies.
Throughout the previous partnership, Hashtag Interactive's expertise in digital marketing has been instrumental in amplifying the digital presence of CAAS and SAA, it said in a statement.

Now in its 10th year, the agency's proven track record of success with government agencies, including the Energy
Market Authority (EMA) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF), further cements its position as a trusted partner in the government sector.
"Working with a forward-thinking organisation such as CAAS and SAA inspires us to deliver our best work. We are committed to delivering top-notch social media work aligned with their vision as we enter the next phase of our partnership," said Mark Teo, account director at Hashtag Interactive.
SAA, the training arm of CASS, appointed Hashtag Interactive for social media duties for a year in April 2022. Hashtag beat out 10 other agencies vying for the account, including Tickled Media, iClick Media, Wildtype Media Group, and Curate Digital at the time. The pitch was first called in January last year.
According to the GeBIZ tender, Hashtag Interactive was responsible for developing strategy and execution plans for the academy's Facebook and LinkedIn; content management, development, and production; community management and engagement; channel and campaign reporting; digital media planning and buying; as well as online advertising and promotion.
According to the tender at the time, the SAA said that it would provide a fixed provisional sum of up to SG$18,000 per year for online advertising and promotion.
SAA offers a range of training programmes in various disciplines including aviation professional training, professional diplomas, and graduate programmes. Hashtag Interactive also worked with CAAS for the organisation's overall social media management and was reappointed in 2022 following its appointment in 2020.
Three years ago, Hashtag edged out then-incumbent one9ninety, which was one of the 13 agencies competing for the account. The agency was also appointed in 2018 to handle social media duties for two years.
