Christine Chang has joined Lumos H+K as GM to oversee and support Malaysia's operations. Chang (pictured) is also the practice lead for digital and integrated comms. Given her diverse experience spanning across creative, media and PR, CEO of Malaysia and Singapore, Justin Then, told A+M that the team is excited to have Chang on board to help drive its next phase of growth.
Chang will be working closely with Jason Cheang, director for integrated comms who is leading the agency's creative and innovation hub in H+K Strategies Singapore. "Together, they will combine resources from both offices to offer our integrated services to clients from both markets as well as those whom we serve regionally," Then said.
She was previously MD at reputation management and brand communications firm Engage SEA where she was responsible for strengthening its senior counsel to clients in Malaysia and the region. Before Engage, Chang was Star Media Group's group marketing officer for close to a year. Chang also worked at Havas Media, Edelman Malaysia, Leo Burnett, and Y&R. During her time in the agency world, she managed brands including McDonald's, Astro, OCBC, NEC, and Cerebos.
Meanwhile, Then was promoted to his current role earlier this month, taking over the Singapore operations from Matthew Briant who was MD of Singapore and Asia chief client officer. Then reports to HS Chung, president for H+K Asia and focuses on driving cross-market collaborations to accelerate business growth across the region.
Then has led Lumos H+K Malaysia since merging his agency, Lumos PR with H+K Malaysia in 2019. The merger was part of H+K's ASEAN growth strategy. Then was confident that by joining forces with Lumos, it would accelerate its growth within Malaysia, bolstering its integrated communications solutions and helping its clients venture into burgeoning markets across the region. He first founded Lumos in 2012 and joined H+K as MD of Malaysia in 2013 during which he provided senior counsel to regional clients from diverse sectors including oil and gas, technology and financial services.
