Chope has formed a regional integrated partnership with lifestyle service giant Meituan-Dianping to power restaurant reservations. Following the integration, Chinese tourists can now have access to more convenient and localised travel-dining services by reserving at some of the region's top restaurants for free on Meituan-Dianping's global lifestyle channels. The partnership comes as Chinese tourism continues to boom across the eight cities Chope operates in -- Singapore, Bali, Jakarta, Bangkok, Phuket, and Hong Kong - as reported by the World Tourism Organisation. Furthermore, food tourism remains amongst the top three expenditures for Chinese tourists according to statistics by international data company Nielson. Meituan-Dianping facilitates millions of Chinese users' dining journeys through restaurant discovery and reservation making. By unifying Meituan-Dianping's strong ethos with the Chinese market and Chope's localised regional expertise, Chinese tourists can expect a curated travel-dining experience whilst abroad."We're extremely excited to embark on this new venture with Meituan-Dianping, an industry heavyweight in their own right," said Chope's founder and CEO, Arrif Ziaudeen. "We are confident that Meituan-Dianping's platform will contribute significantly to outbound destination discovery and that the integration will help match tourist dining demands to our exciting network of over 4,000 restaurants regionally. Ultimately, I believe the partnership will strengthen our vision of creating seamless and memorable dining experiences for more people, more often."The integration follows previously reported partnerships with Instagram and Google Dining. Currently implemented for over 60 restaurants in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, the integration is slated for a full roll-out in the coming month.
