Chariot Agency picks new creative group head

Chariot Agency has named Cavan Ang as its new creative group head. In his role, Ang will be working closely with Christyna Fong, creative director, Kuah Jenhan, creative director and Jarrod Reginald, executive creative director.

Ang was previously the co-founder of Fetch Malaysia. Fetch is a subscription service for healthy local pet supplies. Prior to that, he worked at VMLY&R Commerce as a senior copywriter, he held the role for just under three years.

He has also worked at Ensemble which is under IPG Mediabrands. 

“I like to think of Chariot as one big playground filled with different characters. We show up to work hard but also make sure to play hard and have fun," said Reginald.

"The work might be tough at times but it’s from the play that we try to bring more joy towards the process. When looking for talents, it’s important to us that Chariot is a playground that meets their purpose and we’re all playing the same game. Ang doesn’t just have the skills that fit into this vision of our playground; he has the right attitude to make the work feel like play,” he added. 

 “I’m super excited to be working here in Chariot Agency and with this team I’m confident that we can create some unskippable campaigns that won’t just move the needle here, but around the world,” said Ang. 

The growth of Chariot will allow the agency to meet the growing demand of its clients, while ensuring the bar of creative excellence they have set is still met, it said. 

“Our people are the greatest assets of Chariot Agency. Without them, things wouldn’t move forward within this playground and that’s why we always ensure to get the right people in, people that are like-minded enough to play and create well with us. We’re excited about the future of Chariot but we’re even more excited to see the growth of our Charioters,” said Adrian Cheah, managing director at Chariot Agency. 

The news comes shortly after Malaysian soda brand The Original Beverage picked Chariot Agency as its new creative partner for all advertising efforts including their soda brand, honeyB.
