Cathay and Zurich Insurance Hong Kong (Zurich) have collaborated to offer insurance solutions for Cathay members while enabling them to earn Asia Miles.
Titled “Cathay x Zurich partnership - Protect daily lives, earn miles”, the collaboration aims to provide a diverse selection of general insurance solutions with a seamless customer journey. It also seeks to safeguard all aspects of Cathay members’ lives and elevate their lifestyle.
While Zurich’s premium insurance protection covers home, motor, personal accident and domestic helper, it extends Cathay’s existing insurance offerings beyond health and travel. This strategic partnership not only leverages the competitive strengths of both organisations but also creates a unique blend of privileges for Cathay members. The collaboration seeks to reinforce Cathay’s position as a premium travel lifestyle brand while solidifying Zurich’s status as a top-tier insurance solution provider.
Furthermore, the collaboration leverages the expertise of Zurich Edge, a digital partnerships proposition designed to deliver tailored solutions to customers through established partner ecosystems. Zurich integrates digital innovation and customized insurance products seamlessly within Cathay’s online sales portals. This ensures a smooth, simple, and efficient customer journey.
As part of the partnership, Cathay members can enhance their protection through seamless embedded insurance on Cathay Shop. Members can add screen protection and accidental medical allowance for selected products on Cathay Shop during the purchasing process. This embedded protection offers an accessible online experience, allowing members to enjoy a hassle-free and streamlined customer journey. From now to 30 June, Cathay Shop will also offer free screen protection for selected products to celebrate the new partnership.
Additionally, Cathay members can select from a diverse range of general insurance products provided by Zurich, such as Breezy Home insurance plan, private motor car insurance plan, and Helpersafe domestic helper insurance plan. Meanwhile, Cathay members who enrol in Zurich’s general insurance products through Cathay can earn 1 Asia Mile for every HK$2 and enjoy a limited-time discount of up to 30%. To celebrate this strategic partnership, Cathay and Zurich have rolled out tailored promotions for members.
Cathay general manager lifestyle products Jenna Yu said: “At Cathay, we are committed to elevating our members’ everyday lives by curating a diverse variety of products and services tailored to their specific needs. We are incredibly excited to be partnering with world-leading insurer Zurich to give our members extra peace of mind through our comprehensive suite of insurance offerings that enable them to earn miles every step of the way as they move towards a healthier, happier life.”
Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) chief executive officer Eric Hui said: “At Zurich, we are dedicated to creating a brighter future together, our brand purpose that underscores our mission. This collaboration embodies our shared vision of safeguarding Cathay members' lives while delivering exceptional value to our customers. By offering well-rounded lifestyle protection—including Mobile, Home, and Motor insurance— to Cathay members, we are pleased to partner with Cathay to ensure that members are fully covered both in the air and on the ground.”
