Carousell SG partners J&T Express to provide door-to-door delivery services locally

Global logistics service provider J&T Express will be partnering with category classifieds and recommerce marketplace Carousell Singapore, to provide convenient delivery services for both sellers and buyers.

The partnership with J&T Express Singapore is Carousell Singapore’s first exclusive integration of a logistics service provider into its platform and will leverage on J&T Express’s experience from working with other e-commerce partners.

“With J&T Express’ proven track record in door-to-door delivery services, our partnership aims to deliver more than just items, but a seamless and convenient experience for both buyers and sellers on Carousell,” said Vishal Salunkhe, vice president and head of goods at Carousell.

He continued by saying “Our goal at Carousell is to make transacting in a secondhand marketplace as convenient and trusted as any e-commerce platform, so that secondhand can truly be the first choice.”

Through J&T Express Singapore, all Carousell sellers will have access to fully-integrated pick-up service options featured directly on the item’s listing page through an API integration which was developed for this partnership according to a statement by the brand.

The shipping services for Carousell sellers include flexible doorstep pick-ups, the option to consolidate multiple orders into one pick-up arrangement and insurance of parcels.

"We are honoured to be the first delivery partner exclusively integrated into Carousell Singapore’s platform, and this is in line with our aim to expand our network and support more local users to fulfil their logistic needs," said Tracy Liu, sales and marketing director at J&T Express Singapore.

As part of this collaboration, customers are also promised and affordable and reliable delivery services with real-time tracking and tracing to achieve a more flexible and simplified delivery process.

The classified marketplace also recently appointed Sudarshan Balachandran as its new marketing director, as confirmed by Carousell to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

In his new role, Balachandran will play a pivotal role in steering Carousell’s marketing strategy across all six markets, namely, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan. He will also play a key role in strengthening Carousell's brand identity and driving product innovation through effective marketing strategies to foster sustainable, profitable growth.
