Carat Taiwan has made two promotions within its Taiwan leadership team, while also announcing that current CEO Joanne Liu (pictured left) will leave the agency by the end of March.
JJ Lu (second to right), general manager of Carat Interactive, has been promoted to managing director of Carat Taiwan. In this new position, Lu will be responsible for business direction and strategy, reporting to Jennifer Tang (pictured right), CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Taiwan.
Lu joined Carat in 2015 and has a background in advertising, media, digital marketing consultation, content generation, and software development. She also has multiple years of experience working in China.
"I will embrace the new role and responsibilities to create more breakthroughs based on our existing capabilities while leading each partner to bring their competency into full play with the times and then further accomplish our mission of growing with clients together," said Lu.
Chief client officer Morre Liang (second to left) will be promoted to general manager and be made responsible for driving diversified services and new business.
Speaking of her promotion, Liang said, "With my rich experience in handling cross-industry clients over the years, I’ll keep exploring better solutions for clients when they are facing transformation and integration. Besides fully supporting clients’ transformation, I’ll assist the team to develop diversified and innovative services in order to drive more business value for Carat Taiwan."
Both promotions will become effective from 1 April. Meanwhile, Liu has explained that she is taking a short leave from her current position as CEO of Carat Taiwan for personal development.
“We wish Liu all the very best as she pursues important personal endeavours. We are so grateful for her immense contribution to our business over the past 18 years, building a strong foundation and recently leading Carat through successful business transformation," commented Cheuk Chiang, CEO of DAN greater north and chairman of DAN China.
