BurdaLuxury has appointed Farhan Shah as the editor-in-chief of AUGUSTMAN Singapore and Malaysia, effective immediately.

Based in Singapore, Farhan will spearhead the editorial direction and strategy for the editions in both countries. He will also oversee the editorial teams across Singapore and Malaysia.

Farhan has a decade of experience within the luxury, editorial and publishing industry. He previously held the role of editor-in-chief at a+, Apical Media and The Peak Singapore.

In his new role, he will report directly to Lena Kwek, manging director and publisher of BurdaLuxury Singapore. Meanwhile, editor of AUGUSTMAN Malaysia, KC Yap, will report to him.

This new editorial structure, according to a statement seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, aims to facilitate a better collaboration between AUGUSTMAN Singapore and Malaysia, ensuring a "unified presence across the region."

“I am thrilled to be joining the team at BurdaLuxury Singapore and to collaborate with the team in Malaysia to lead AUGUSTMAN,” said Farhan.

“I look forward to enhancing the publication’s content and reach, starting with the upcoming A-list campaign, which is one of the many exciting initiatives that will continue to develop and provide synergy between both publications," he added.

AUGUSTMAN Singapore and Malaysia is not the only luxury publication with new changes on the horizon. Earlier in May, luxury lifestyle publication Lifestyle Asia expanded its horizons with its seventh publication, Lifestyle Asia Malaysia. Lifestyle Asia Malaysia will be curated and presented entirely in Bahasa.

Lifestyle Asia Malaysia will cover topics ranging from style, beauty, dining and culture. It seeks to synergise culture with design and an approach that resonates with the young, aspirational and ambitious demographic, it said.

The publication will complement the existing English edition, Lifestyle Asia Kuala Lumpur.
