Social commerce agency Bread Agency has appointed Emelie Jessika Lundberg as its general manager, as the agency looks to scale its operations and strengthen its creative and strategic offering.

Lundberg joins from The Works (part of Capgemini), where she was head of social, bringing experience in social-led brand growth and innovative digital campaigns. Throughout her career, she has worked with brands including Destination NSW, Subaru, Visa, 7-Eleven and Kimberly-Clark (Huggies & Kleenex).

At Bread, Lundberg will oversee day-to-day operations, drive new business and elevate the agency’s approach to social commerce, influencer marketing and paid media.

“From our very first chat, we knew Em would be the perfect addition to the Bread team,” Mary Proulx, co-founder of Bread Agency, said. “She’s got a knack for building exceptional teams and a deep understanding of social, making her a trusted partner for brands across categories. You don’t find that often. We’re looking forward to building the next phase of Bread with Em at the helm.”

Lundberg said she was excited to step into the role as the agency continues its rapid growth.

“Bread Agency has built a reputation for bold creativity and meaningful brand partnerships in the social commerce space,” Lundberg said. “I’m thrilled to join the team at such an exciting time and look forward to driving the agency’s continued success.”

As demand for social commerce solutions grows, Bread Agency is actively expanding its team, hiring for several key roles, including account director, social media manager, and content creator.

The agency has built a solid client roster, working with brands from Carnival Cruises to Zambrero, Connect Hearing, Cotton Australia, Aspen Pharmacare and Abano Healthcare.
