Hong Kong authorities have called for new pitches for the digital media promotion of Brand Hong Kong internationally and in mainland China respectively, which will last for 12 months commencing on 1 August 2025 and expiring on 31 July 2026.
Under the agreement, the agency is required to provide digital media promotion services including planning, booking and advertisement coordination to promote Brand Hong Kong in the Mainland, whereas another contractor is asked to perform the same task in the international markets.
According to the official tender document, the tender submission deadline will be at noon on 12 May 2025. All tenders must be deposited in the tender box before the tender closing time. Late tenders or tenders not deposited in the specified tender box will not be accepted.

Don't miss: HK hands Brand HK digital media promotion remit to two local agencies
Back in 2023, the Hong Kong government spent close to HK$17m to recruit digital agencies Tango Digital and Founder New Media to help promote “Brand Hong Kong” in Mainland China and internationally.
According to the government gazette published on 28 July 2023, the ISD approved two contracts of HK$8.56m and HK$8.28m respectively, to hire Tango and Founder New Media.
On the other hand, Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has also called for pitches for global creative agency services. The agency will help shape HKTB's communication and promotional strategies to accentuate Hong Kong’s uniqueness on the global stage.
Scope of services includes but not limited to account management, strategic planning, and creative services to shape our communication strategy and promote Hong Kong’s uniqueness for the next three years, with the potential to extend for another three years based on satisfactory performance.
This also aligns with the government's effort in bolstering local tourism. According to the latest Budget 2025, the government will allocate HK$1,235 million to the HKTB in the coming year. This funding aims to promote the idea that "tourism is everywhere" and to implement the development blueprint for Hong Kong's Tourism Industry 2.0 (香港旅遊業發展藍圖2.0).
The HKTB will collaborate with more international brands to tell the good stories of Hong Kong's tourism. For example, the HKTB signed a three-year global strategic partnership agreement with Art Basel to establish immersive experience zones of Hong Kong culture in all four annual Art Basel shows around the world, strengthening Hong Kong's connection with the global art scene. The government will also step up efforts to promote a series of distinctive tourism products such as eco‑tourism, panda tourism and horse-racing tourism to enrich travel experiences in Hong Kong.
