Hogarth Worldwide has appointed Monica Hynds (pictured) as its regional director. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE understands that Hynds will take on new business and business development responsibilities in the APAC region, sustaining relationships with existing clients for Hogarth's continuous business growth, while reporting to Mark Wong, CEO of Hogarth APAC. She was formerly managing director at BBDO Singapore since 2020, before stepping down from her role last month.

Hynds has over 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining BBDO Singapore, she was head of agency for the Jaguar Land Rover AP account at Spark44 and, before that, head of account management at We Are Social, her LinkedIn stated. She also previously took on the role of regional business director for the Jaguar land rover account.

Hynds was also previously with J. Walter Thompson, now known as Wunderman Thompson, where she was responsible for marketing strategy and integration for Johnson & Johnson APAC, HSBC Singapore, Pizza Hut Singapore and Singapore Tourism Board, according to her LinkedIn. She also managed multiple markets across APAC.

Before that, Hynds was with Ogilvy as brand director where she handled integrated marketing for brands such as the Health Promotion Board, National Environment Agency, and Resorts World Sentosa. She also worked with brands such as Philips APAC and HP on shopper marketing, as well as with Kimberly Clark and Sunsilk, Unilever for brand activation.

Separately, Hogarth named industry veteran Mehta as global ECD in February this year. In this newly-created role, Mehta supports the next phase of Hogarth’s evolution as the world’s leading creative content company by bringing its philosophy of "Creative + Production + Innovation" at scale to all of Hogarth’s clients and global teams.

He will report to Richard Glasson, global CEO at Hogarth. Mehta is currently based in Hogarth’s head office in London but will move to the company’s New York office later in 2022. Mehta was formerly APAC creative lead at Media.Monks and S4 Capital for close to four years, where he was responsible for growing their creative footprint across APAC. Prior to that, he was based in India for two years, where he launched the tech startup Reliance Jio, alongside Mujeh Ambani.
