Ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday, Barbie and Chinese couturier Guo Pei have reunited for a third signature doll collaboration.
This is Guo’s third release with Barbie. Dressed in royal blue representing the union of earthly elements, and intricate embroidered dragons for luck and strength, Guo Pei’s creation celebrates her cultural heritage, and hopes to fill consumers’ holiday with beauty and joy.
Inspired by a design from Guo Pei’s past collections, the latest look for Barbie tells a story of rich cultural symbolism, bringing luck, strength, longevity and prosperity to the upcoming Chinese New Year. It also balances artistic heritage with contemporary innovation through Guo Pei’s signature craftsmanship.
Furthermore, golden earrings, a sparkly statement ring and gold color pumps complement the custom creation. The Barbie doll gift set includes doll stand and certificate of authenticity.
The Barbie doll is available on online stores of Barbie globally. The collaboration is also promoted via social media such as Barbie's and Guo Pei's Instagram.
MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Barbie for additional information.
Back in October 2022, Barbie and Guo Pei partnered up to present the second limited-edition doll, inspired by the designer’s world-famous Yellow Empress gown.
The iconic gown first made its red carpet gala debut in 2015 before establishing its place as a contemporary work of art, on display as a museum exhibit.
The look is complete with a striking ornate golden headpiece, golden accessories, and shoes to exude quintessential regal elegance.
