Bank of China HK's BoC Pay features Dodo Cheng and Chantel Yiu

Bank of China Hong Kong (BOCHK)’s BoC Pay has launched a new campaign featuring local artists, in support of the introduction of the second phase of the Consumer Voucher Scheme (CVS). The campaign video features Hong Kong artist Dodo Cheng and singer Chantel Yiu, recommending Hongkongers to switch their CVS payment platform to BoC Pay.
In the video ad, Cheng played the role of “著數姐”, sharing the advantages of switching to BoC Pay for spending consumer vouchers, insisting “earning as much as possible”. Whereas the 15-year-old Yiu, featured as Cheng’s young assistant, analysed the news and updates on social platforms about the new CVS payment system, despite not being eligible to spend consumer vouchers.
Cheng said that her switch to BoC Pay is impressive among HKers and many of her friends asked her for tips on how to earn more while spending, “Back then everyone will compare discounts and rewards for different credit cards. As online payment platforms have become the mainstream payment methods, I sincerely recommend ‘100+68+20勁賞袋落袋’ method, and there will be HK$100 cash rewards upon registration on BoC Pay, new consumers will have HK$68 cash rewards as well.”
According to the press release, the two had a great time filming the video, and Cheng praised Yiu for being smart and friendly, Yiu also described the experience as unlocking an item of her bucket list, "I have seen Cheng's work and her shows, I admire her communication skills and knowledge. I hope to collaborate with her again as I could learn verbal and improvisation skills from filming with her."

Furthermore, Users could enjoy HK$100 “Transfer Cash Reward” and merchant discounts over HK$15,000, which can be redeemed at 70,000 local online and physical stores in Hong Kong. Furthermore, BoC Pay has also introduced 「勁賞.友得搶」, users could also get 30% off upon buying iPhone 13 and 50% off for PS5 with YOHO Rewards.
Previously in January this year, Bank of China (Hong Kong) rolled out a video to celebrate the launch of a new digital lai see (red packet) function on the bank’s app and eWallet BoCPay, featuring singer Chantel Yiu and three celebrities of Macanese entertainment company Manner.
Yiu has various styles of entertainment, and in the video she performs a rap song with Manner’s Puinam, Sinam and Roberto Madan, telling the audience how to give out the lai see through Bank of China(Hong Kong)’s “Phone Lai See” function.
