Audi SG names new MD as former MD takes brand director role in Korea

Audi Singapore has appointed Markus Schuster (pictured) as the new managing director. He succeeds Jeff Mannering who has moved to be the brand director within Audi Volkswagen Korea.Schuster brings with him a wealth of experience from his variety of positions, from sales, marketing and business development for different markets. He has been with Audi for 17 years, having worked at the brand’s headquarters in Germany and for Audi Italia. Schuster last helmed the role of head of used car sales management in Germany where he was responsible for the brand’s pre-owned vehicle sales business with a volume in excess of 80,000 units annually. He was also the head of product marketing within Audi Italia for over four years.According to Schuster, Audi is a success story here in Singapore and the region and is in the midst of leading a development in terms of mobility, electrification and sustainability. “Putting our customers at the heart of everything we do, we will establish Audi as the most progressive premium brand in Singapore and the region,” he said.Prior to joining the Audi, Schuster was a market research executive at Porsche for six months. Apart from his experience within automotive group, he has stints at global PR agency Burson-Marsteller, German Comdirect Bank AG and market research company Gfk.Currently in Singapore, Audi retained Publicis Singapore effective January last year for creative duties. Publicis will continue to lead brand and product communications for Audi across multiple channels, including digital and experiential marketing for another three years. The agency has worked with Audi since 2013.
