Havas' Arena Media Singapore names new GM

Havas Media Group has appointed Leroy Lim (pictured) as general manager of Arena Media Singapore. In his new role, Lim will lead the agency's integrated and digital media operations, agile communication planning approach, data proposition and new business, while reporting to Russell Lai, who recently took on the role of chief commercial officer, Havas Media Group.
On the regional front, Lim will continue to drive regional growth and international business of the Group, through the deployment of Havas’s proprietary MX planning framework. According to the Group, this was a role which Lim took on when he first joined the agency, and will continue to drive this function under the supervision of Jacqui Lim, CEO of Havas Media Group and chief growth officer, SEA and North Asia, Havas Group. Lim has over two decades of experience in the advertising world, having taken leadership positions on both the publisher side as well as in agencies PHD, Zenith, and Starcom.
Lai said that he is confident Lim will continue Arena Media's great track-record in tackling marketing and communications through technology and a different perspective.
Lim's appointment comes amidst Arena Media's growing clientele, such as AIA, Futu Singapore (moomoo), Kaplan, as well as clients in the mobile and digital media space. Lim said that, as a stand-alone brand, Arena Media has always differentiated itself with its data driven expertise and digital first strategies. "Embedded in this vision are the commitments of relevance, performance, transparency and proprietary data curation for clients. I’m looking forward to working alongside my teams and the rest of the Havas Village disciplines to deliver further growth and great results for our business,” he added.
In November last year, Havas Media Group made several leadership hires to bolster its Singapore and regional operations as part of its growth plans in the areas of data and digital excellence and strategic business leadership. It appointed Leroy Lim as strategic business lead for Singapore and regional growth and client lead for SEA then, Deanson Leeas executive director of digital strategy and solutions, and Ellen Dunkley as performance marketing lead in Singapore. According to the agency, the appointments come at the back of strong business momentum and the increasing digitalisation ambitions of clients; as they bounce back from the pandemic to aggressively regain and grow their business through more agile marketing strategies.
