Independent global media and creative advisors MediaSense has appointed Jamie Posnanski (pictured right) as its new CEO, succeeding co-founder Graham Brown (pictured left), who will transition to the role of executive chairman. In his role as CEO, Posnanski will focus on advancing MediaSense's services, extending its reach and capabilities, and expanding leadership in media operations into other marketing domains such as content, data, technology, and automation.
Before joining MediaSense, Posnanski played a notable role in the growth of Accenture Song, establishing it as a significant digital agency network as its senior executive, global managing director, head of content and managed services.

In addition, Posnanski founded avVenta, a digital agency acquired by Accenture Interactive in 2012, which later became part of Song. His contributions significantly expanded the agency's capabilities in areas such as content, digital media, personalisation, CRM, commerce, and marketing operations, contributing to a US$12 billion business expansion. Posnanski also participated in acquisitions and integrations at Accenture Song, recognised for modern-marketing transformations for global brands, according to a statement seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
Prior to which he was co-founder of Sans Locus, a regional digital agency based in Charleston, South Carolina.
Graham Brown commented on Posnanski’s leadership and industry knowledge, describing him as well-suited to guide MediaSense through its growth phases. MediaSense's acquisitions, including creative and media advisory firms R3 and PwC’s Media advisory team, have expanded its team to over 230 employees and extended its presence in North America and Asia.
“I am delighted to have found my successor and am excited to have attracted such a talent as Posnanski to MediaSense. His strategic vision and proven leadership skills, combined with his wealth of experience and integrity make him the ideal person for this role," said Brown.
"Not only has Posnanski helped clients address the most complex marketing challenges on a global scale, but he also has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to successfully bring a company at our stage of development through the next phases of growth. I am looking forward to supporting Jamie as we grow our global presence and build more expansive and innovative services for our global client base," added Brown.
In tandem, Posnanski said he is "thrilled to to join the talented team at MediaSense and build upon such an impressive legacy. With the addition of PWC’s media unit and now with the R3 acquisition, I believe we are incredibly well positioned to help clients fuel growth by optimising returns across an even broader scope of media and marketing investments."
Posnanski's appointment comes after MediaSense acquired R3 earlier in November this year. The acquisition aims to build on MediaSense's global footprint in North America and Asia. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE understands that the sale does not include R3’s China entity and in a statement, the company said “R3 will be a MediaSense affiliate and will provide the company with capabilities in China”.
This is MediaSense’s second growth deal in six months, following its acquisition of PwC’s marketing and media advisory team, announced in May 2024.
