airasia MOVE, which was formerly known as airasia Superapp, has named Nadia Omer (pictured) as its new chief executive officer as of 26 October 2023. Omer takes the helm from Mohamad Hafidz Mohd Fadzil who served as airasia MOVE’s acting CEO from April this year.
Omer has a track record in category conversion, consumer habit change, and ecosystem value creation from her expansive career journey that began at P&G to her roles at Nestle and PepsiCo where she held leadership positions.

She most recently served as the chief business officer of Cars24, Southeast Asia before joining airasia MOVE. She brings with her a wealth of experience to steer airasia MOVE forward to become the preferred travel platform of the region with the best value, the airline said in a statement.
"We are excited for the future of airasia MOVE, as we welcome Omer into what we will say is a pivotal moment for the organisation," said Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A and executive chairman of MOVE Digital.
"I have no doubt that she will hit the ground running the moment she officially steps in. As announced last month, we are entering into a new era of travel innovation, and I believe that Omer's multifaceted background has uniquely positioned her to lead airasia MOVE forward as Asean’s preferred one-stop travel platform,” he added.
Fernandes said that Omer will be working closely with BigPay, led by Zubin Rada Krishnan, to offer seamless access to travel and financial services on one single platform, with integrated financial features.
"I would also like to thank Mohamad Hafidz for his contributions as the acting CEO of airasia MOVE for the past six months, as he moves on to another role within the Capital A Group,” he said.
“It’s a privilege to take the helm of airasia MOVE, and I look forward to working with Allstars across the region to create the next growth curve in our journey," said Omer.
The news comes shortly after airasia Digital, the digital arm of Capital A, rebranded to MOVE Digital (MOVE) in a bid to emphasise its commitment towards travel. MOVE’s travel platform business, airasia Superapp, also underwent a brand refresh and saw its name change to “airasia move” as part of the ongoing transformation.
The new digital arm also recently appointed Lim Ben-Jie as its new regional head of partnerships and global markets, according to AirAsia when A+M reached out. He will cover AirAsia Move and BigPay in his new role.
