AirAsia brings on board David Foster as brand ambassador

Low cost airline AirAsia has appointed Grammy award-winning musician David Foster as its new global brand ambassador.The announcement was made yesterday at an event held by the airline.Foster will help the airline market its premium product range through various exclusive campaigns. The new partnership will see the launch of various engagement activities including an opportunity to meet Foster at one of his concerts.According to Tony Fernandes, group chief executive officer of AirAsia, the new partnership is aimed at bolstering the airline’s products while creating a new market for it as it continues to evolve from being a low-cost carrier to a true value-carrier with the best product proposition.Fernandes said, “David is an old friend and we’ve created many hits together over the years. David is a legend and I’m looking forward to creating many more hits through this collaboration, especially on our Premium offerings.”Foster, the newly appointed brand ambassador of AirAsia, said, “AirAsia is a highly regarded brand that is nothing short of an amazing success story. Congratulations on the recent milestone of flying 300 million guests in the short span of only 14 years! I am happy to represent their excellent premium product range and I look forward to a great relationship with AirAsia as we embark on this partnership.”Foster has produced music for artists such as Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson, among many others.
