
AIA HK appoints Sharon Khor to handle digital and analytics transformation

AIA Hong Kong has appointed Sharon Khor as head of technology, digital and analytics transformation office. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to AIA Hong Kong for more details of Khor's appointment.
According to her LinkedIn, before her latest appointment, she held senior positions at a number of well known organisations such as IBM, AXA in Hong Kong and AIG in Shanghai. At IBM, she worked for about four years from August 2017 to June 2021 and was partner, global business services, while she spent about two years at AXA as regional director, change programmes.
During her tenure at AIG, she was distribution sales strategy and operations, as well as acting chief agency officer. She was responsible for the agency distribution channel for AIG China across six provinces, covering both captive agents and local independent agency companies.
Prior to these positions, Khor was a seasoned creative agency practitioner as she worked for Accenture for more than 17 years. She was partner from 2008 to 2012, where she oversaw business development and the delivery of insurance-related engagements for insurers in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China.
Before this position as pre-partner, she served various MNCs and large domestic financial institutions, including Prudential, AIA, Allianz, Standard Chartered Bank, Cigna, Bank Of China (Hong Kong), Life Insurance Corporation of India, New China Life, PICC Health, across Asia in different capacities and diverse engagements ranging from IT and operations implementation to operating model design and growth strategy definition.
