CJ ENM HK has rolled out its tvN Movies subscription video on-demand (SVOD) and pay-per-view service with Gojek, via the latter's on demand streaming platform GoPlay. According to CJ ENM, the partnership is another leap forward in the streaming space.

Launched last September, GoPlay offers Indonesian consumers access to local movies and shows, with genres ranging from drama to horror. GoPlay offers various services such as GoPlay Access (SVOD), GoPlay Live (livestreaming) and GoPlay Rental (transactional video on demand). Among the list of films to be featured include Parasite, Ashfall, The Divine Fury, Innocent Witness, and Battleship Island.

"This year streaming media is in the spotlight. In the spirit to become Indonesia’s number one video on demand platform, while empowering local filmmakers through originals, GoPlay also focuses on meeting Indonesia entertainment needs through innovation and collaboration," Sasha Sunu, VP marketing of GoPlay, said.

The latest tie-up comes after CJ ENM partnered with iQIYI International in August to bring tvN Movies to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. It also collaborated with Telkomsel during the same month to launch the linear channels of tvN and tvN Movies on MAXstream, the telco's one-stop video services app.

Meanwhile in February, CJ ENM restructured its distribution and marketing functions in Hong Kong and combined them under its brand partnerships team based in Singapore. Mickey Ong was elevated to the role of general manager as part of the restructure, reporting to Michael Jung, managing director of CJ ENM HK.
