Hepmil Philippines announced that it has appointed Joanna Chan Mojica (pictured, centre) as chairperson of the board. She brings a wealth of experience, with over three decades of leadership in the Philippine advertising landscape.

In her new role, Mojica will report directly to Hepmil Media Group CEO Karl Mak (pictured, right) and work closely with Erwin Razon (pictured, left), general manager of Hepmil Philippines. Her appointment signals the company's ambition to lead the rapidly evolving digital advertising and creator ecosystem in the country.

Hepmil Philippines has partnered with major brands such as Jollibee, Unilever, Unilab, CDO, and Century Pacific Food, alongside agency collaborations with Publicis Groupe and GroupM.

Mojica continues to hold other industry positions, including her role as president of AmplifAI Media Services and as a shareholder of Metropolis Evolving Media Solutions.

Her career has seen her at the helm of major advertising and media agencies, including roles as connexion head at Unilab Inc., chief media officer at Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines, CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group, investment head at GroupM, and media director at MindShare and J. Walter Thompson.

Commenting on her new role, Mojica shared her vision: "The landscape of content and advertising is shifting—audiences crave authenticity, brands seek cultural relevance, and creators are at the forefront of this evolution. Hepmil Philippines is in a unique position to drive this transformation, bridging the gap between brands and creators in a way that is both strategic and impactful. I look forward to contributing to this journey, while also continuing to champion innovation across the broader media and marketing ecosystem."

"Hepmil Philippines has been our group's standout growth market since we entered as a startup in 2018 through PGAG. [Mojica] has been a mentor, advisor, and friend to us from day one, guiding our journey with her unparalleled insight," Mak said.

Mak highlighted that the launch of Hepmil Creators Network and Hepmil's Social Commerce offerings has driven significant growth, with the company achieving a 70% CAGR over the past four years.

"Securing an industry veteran of [Mojica's] caliber as chairperson is a strategic move—her values align seamlessly with Hepmil's mission, and her leadership will have a profound impact in mentoring our young leaders as we drive the next chapter of growth in the Philippines' digital advertising and creator economy," he added.

Razon echoed this sentiment, praising Mojica's "unmatched expertise" and stating that she will set new benchmarks for excellence.

Founded in 2018, Hepmil Philippines is part of Hepmil Media Group in Singapore. Operating brands such as PGAG, Hepmil Creators Network, and Bent Pixels Asia, the company engages millions of young Filipinos through culturally resonant content. In 2024, Hepmil Creators Network launched social commerce offerings, introducing livestreaming and affiliate sales to drive growth.

Hepmil Philippines' growth is reflected in its expanding workforce, expected to exceed 100 full-time employees by the end of 2025.
