Absolut & Sprite bring the best of both worlds with ready-to-drink cocktail

Fans of Absolut Vodka and Sprite will soon get to enjoy the best of both worlds with the next ready-to-drink Absolut & Sprite as part of The Coca‑Cola Company and Pernod Ricard’s new partnership.

Set for release in 2024, the new ready-to-drink pre-mixed cocktail will combine the international premium vodka with the lemon-lime sparkling soft drink. Available in two versions – with Sprite and Sprite Zero Sugar, the drink is slated to launch in select European countries, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany.

“We are expanding in the alcohol ready-to-drink space, including products that use select brands from our core portfolio,” said James Quincey, chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, in a statement seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. He added that the brand continues to develop their portfolio as a total beverage company with this new collaboration.

Vodka is one of the most popular bases for alcoholic ready-to-drink products, and lemon-lime soft drinks are one of the most popular mixers in pre-mixed cocktails.

“This very promising and pioneering project brings together two leading companies who are committed to offering their consumers new experiences around premium products,” said Alexandre Ricard, CEO of Pernod Ricard, maker of Absolut Vodka.

The Absolut & Sprite ready-to-drink packaging will feature the two brands’ distinctive global trademarks. The cans will include clear responsibility symbols stating that the drink is to be enjoyed only by consumers of legal drinking age, adhering to responsible marketing practices.

This partnership comes amidst a slew of innovations by Coca-Cola, with the recently released Coca-Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar limited-edition flavour. Coming alongside an AI-powered experience from Coca-Cola Creations, the futuristic drink is the result of co-creation between human and artificial intelligence.
