Smile Cosmetics company Zenyum has hired former Carousell growth marketing director, Arun Kumar as global vice president of growth.
He will be heading Zenyum’s performance, CRM, SEO and Growth Marketing teams to maximise the company's ROAS. Kumar was previously with Carousell for over six years, and spent another three years with Zalora prior to that.

“Kumar and I first started working together years ago when he was at Carousell and I was on the agency side. His journey there from early stage to Unicorn was something that I always admired,” said Bassam Abdel-Rahman, Zenyum’s CMO.
He added that Kumar has a deep understanding of digital channels, both technically and creatively, as well as an extensive experience in the region that made him “the perfect fit” to lead the team focusing on optimising and scaling Zenyum’s omni-channel marketing initiatives.
When asked about what inspired him to join Zenyum, Kumar said, “Zenyum has seen tremendous growth in the category in a very short time, and it is doing this by reinventing operations through AI, elevating the customer experience, and most importantly, making aligners more accessible to the people in the region. I’m excited to work with the team to build on what’s been achieved so far across the aligners products and consumer products and help accelerate the growth.”
