Zara partners with model Kate Moss for exclusive partywear collection

Fashion retailer Zara has partnered with British fashion model Kate Moss to introduce a partywear collection for the upcoming festive season.

Set to launch on 30 November both in-store and online, the exclusive capsule collection is designed by Moss, according to multiple fashion magazines such as ELLE and Harper's Bazaar.

The collection will focus on partywear and feature clothing and accessories that embody Moss’s distinctive, cool-girl aesthetic. The project is being carried out in partnership with British fashion stylist Katy England.

Regarding the inspiration for the collection, Moss said that she aimed to create the perfect party capsule—pieces that are effortless chic with a touch of edge. The collection combines classic cuts with just the right amount of glamour to carry one through the party season.

Moss said she's enjoyed working with Zara on campaigns over the years and always loved their collaborations so when she first discussed the project with Marta Ortega (chairwoman of Zara’s mother company Inditex), she was excited about getting to design clothes again and work with England, according to the reports.

Recently, Zara has teamed up with Italian fashion designer Stefano Pilati to launch a collection that encapsulates the essence of his design philosophies. According to the release, the collection emphasises a quiet sensuality through tailored and fluid designs, focusing on silhouette, fabrication, and cut, resulting in pieces that embody a sense of timelessness.

Debuted on 3 October, the collection was launched alongside a campaign photographed in New York by Steven Meisel, featuring Pilati himself alongside supermodel Gisele Bündchen.

Back in May 2023, Zara partnered with Ciric, a textile technology company under the portfolio of The Mills Fabrica (南豐作坊), to launch a women’s capsule collection made with recycled textiles derived from polycotton textile waste in an effort to promote sustainability.

This partnership followed investment from Inditex, Zara’s parent company, in Circ last year within its Sustainability Innovation Hub (SIH) which aims to boost technological innovation and improve product circularity. The two brands have tackled one of the biggest challenges for the fashion industry: breaking down blends of polyester and cotton – referred to as “polycotton” – into new recycled raw materials to create new garments. Circ´s innovative recycling technology is designed to separate polycotton blended textile waste and recover both cellulosic and synthetic fibers.

Utilising this technology, Zara and Circ have created a collection featuring lyocell garments made with 50% recycled polycotton textile waste and polyester garments with 43% recycled polycotton textile waste. With creative direction from the design team at Zara Woman, the collection showcases on-trend and light garments in burgundy tones that are designed to keep in circulation, available across 11 markets globally.
